STEP 1 - Prepare the Soil
Choose a sunny location with loose, fertile, well-draining soil. Mix compost into the soil and prepare a garden bed or large container with climbing support.
STEP 2 - Sow the Seeds
Soak the seeds in clean water for several hours if recommended by the supplier. Plant seeds about 2 cm deep, cover lightly with soil, and water gently.
STEP 3 - Water & Sunlight
Provide around 6-8 hours of sunlight daily. Keep the soil evenly moist without waterlogging. Train the vines onto a sturdy trellis and provide good airflow.
STEP 4 - Harvest
Harvest bitter gourds while they are green, firm, and tender, before they become overripe. Pick regularly as fruits reach the desired size for the variety.
