STEP 1 - Prepare the Soil
Choose a sunny area with loose, fertile, well-draining soil. Mix compost into the soil and prepare a garden bed or large pot with drainage holes.
STEP 2 - Sow the Seeds
Plant okra seeds about 2-3 cm deep. Cover lightly with soil and water gently. Keep the growing medium moist during germination. Seeds may be soaked briefly before sowing if recommended by the supplier.
STEP 3 - Water & Sunlight
Provide around 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Water regularly, especially during hot weather, but avoid waterlogging. Allow sufficient spacing between plants for healthy growth and airflow.
STEP 4 - Harvest
Harvest okra pods while they are young, tender, and suitable for the variety, often a few days after flowering. Check plants frequently and cut pods carefully to encourage continued production.
