STEP 1 - Prepare the Soil
Choose a sunny location with loose, well-draining soil. Prepare a pot, seedling tray, or garden bed. Avoid excessive fertilizer, which may encourage leafy growth instead of flowers.
STEP 2 - Sow the Seeds
Sow Cosmos seeds about 0.5 cm deep and cover lightly with soil. Water gently and keep the growing medium evenly moist during germination.
STEP 3 - Water & Sunlight
Provide around 6-8 hours of sunlight daily. Water regularly while seedlings establish, then allow the soil surface to dry slightly between waterings. Ensure good airflow, especially during humid weather.
STEP 4 - Flowering & Care
Cosmos plants often begin flowering around 7-12 weeks after sowing under favorable conditions. Remove faded flowers to encourage more blooms and support tall stems when needed.
